Meet the Founder

Embarking on a journey that spans oceans and personal resilience, I, Kaan Belton, am the founder of VVUK. From my early days rowing for Team GB, winning international medals, and competing at Henley Royal Regatta, to navigating a shift to the Merchant Navy after a  setback, my path has been one of challenges and triumphs. As an officer, I sailed through the icy waters of the Falklands, South Georgia, and the South Sandwich Islands. My journey took a turn when a back injury on a harbour tug prompted a year-long struggle before seeking treatment. This transformative experience fueled my vision for VVUK – a platform for accessible and swift medical care. Born in Portsmouth, with Turkish roots and a British connection, I draw upon my diverse background to bring a unique blend of excellence and personal understanding to every aspect of VVUK.
